Wes Ferguson, a junior at Nebraska-Kearney, repeated as the men's 800-meter winner in 1:45.46 at the NCAA Division 2 Championships at Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl Stadium in Pueblo, Colo. Ferguson, who has captured three career Division 2 800 crowns, became the first male athlete since Colorado State-Pueblo standout Thomas Staines in 2018-19 to repeat as champion. Ferguson elevated to the No. 3 competitor in Division 2 outdoor history, in addition to contributing to a fifth-place performance in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:08.56.
